Definition of extended application: “Students will apply their knowledge and skills
in new and complex situations. They will challenge themselves to
extend their learning and discover connections between their education and
their life goals.”
Examples of projects/activities that could meet
this definition: Working as an outdoor school
counselor; mentoring/tutoring at a middle or elementary school; participating
on the Robotics team; member of the Yearbook staff; working on a Leadership
project; completing a science experiment that extends beyond the classroom; participating in an internship or structured work
