This week is National No Name Calling Week!  I think we can all agree that when someone calls us a name it can make us feel mad, bad, or sad.  Even if it is one of our friends saying that they are joking.  This week especially try to replace a name calling word with a phrase or word that is less hurtful.  For example, instead of saying “You’re so stupid!”  You could say something like “That’s pretty redonkulous.”  Stop and think about what you say to others!

It is fantastic to see so many students earning Paws for Pride.  Starting this week we are adding a new kind of Paws for Pride Card.  The bright yellow cards that Guest Teachers have will be worth triple.  That’s right … each Paws for Pride card you receive from a Guest teacher will be worth three Paws when you purchase a reward or privilege. Don’t worry about remembering which Paw is which.  These say “Triple Paws for Pride” right on them. So make sure that you are welcoming to our outstanding Guest Teachers and show them how safe, respectful, and responsible the Pride can be!

Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Here’s your chance to sign up for the Corvallis Parks and Recreation 1st Annual Long Board Push Rally! It starts at 10 am on Saturday, October 10th.
