Activities & Announcements

 

Writing: Students are currently working on Fiction stories for Writer's Workshop. Final drafts are due Tuesday, November 17th.

Autumn Amble: November 20th, @ 1:50pm. Please let Mr. Behrens know if you would like to help volunteer for this 2009m race!

Social Studies: We have recently finished our Native American Cultural Regions chapter, and students are studying for the test, which will be this Wednesday, November 18th.

 

Booktalks: Students have until November 30th to give their November Booktalk.

Homework


This Week’s Homework:

-Homework Packets were sent home on Monday, November 16th, and will be due on Friday morning, November 20th.

Homework consists of:

        -Reading 20m. a night (Monday through Thursday), and recording it on the Reading Log

        -Spelling: This week's list is titled, /or/, /ar/, and /ar/ Sounds

            *Challenge List: for students who got 16 or more correct out of 20 on Monday's spelling pre-test:

                -each spelling word needs to be copied twice, put in alphabetical order, and put into sentences too

            *Regular List: for students who got 15 or less correct out of 20 on Monday's spelling pre-test:

                -p. 136-138, reading workbook; the list is on p. 269

        -Time for Kids: What to Eat and Bullies Beware

        -Health: Disaster Preparedness: Quake-Safe Home Checklist

        -Packets should be stapled together

        -Parent signature on the Reading Log
