Principal Report: The School Improvement plan is in need of updating. She
will be working with staff on setting “smart goals” that will focus on student
learning, with literacy as a key factor. This process also includes aligning
Cheldelin’s vision with the Community Vision for schools and the District
Improvement Plan. She highlighted the importance of regular school attendance in
regards to student success. Her goal is to have 95% of students attending on a
regular basis. Parents can help by keeping the school informed of their
student’s appointments and working to schedule them outside of school hours
