1950-1959

The Spartans

1951- First year of the Valley league. Valley league consists of Corvallis, Bend, Lebanon, Salem, Sweet Home, and Albany.  

1954- Salem opens second high school. South Salem Saxons join the Valley league.  

1955- CHS wins Valley league title. Play first ever playoff game versus Jefferson from Portland. The democrats prevail 20-6
