A note from Coach Mark Hulbert:

    I will be meeting runners 2 to 3 times a week starting Saturday January 6.  Sometimes I might be the only one there and other times there might be 10 runners.  This is the most important time for your training, you need to build a background so when track starts we can work on your pace and speed.  It does not matter if you are a 400 m runner or a 3000 m runner.  You all need to run the distance.

    Every Thursday I will be sending out a weekly schedule.  Some of you have been running all year and some of you are out for other sports so you are already working out.  if you are out for other sports I'll see you in February.  If you are sitting around playing on the computer you need to get out...

    This is what I would like you to start doing now.  This is the basic and if you want to do more I will not stop you.

Sat.  20-30 min.  Trails and hills...I will be at Peavey Arboretum at 10:00.
Sun.  15-20 min. easy
Mon.  30 min.  Go from the school around Avery Park.
Tues.  30 min.  Meet on the track.  I will be there at 3:00.
Wed.  20 min. easy
Thurs.  30 min. at Peavey Arboretum.  Try to carpool.

Fri.  Run as much as you want...do not worry about speed yet.
