1998

    The 1998 girl's cross country team got off to a good start, led by seniors Ashley Walker, Anais Stenson, and Alaina Cooke.  Juniors Debbie Schor and Georgia Hart, sophmore Meghan Gilroy, and freshman Cami Martin were all members of the varsity team.                          

     At the Districts race the Corvallis High School girls finished in second place (Crescent Valley took first), which qualified the girls team for State.  It was the first time since 1984 that the Corvallis High girls qualified for State.

   The junior varsity team also had a successful season, with several new freshmen runners.  It was the largest girls team in several years at CHS.

 

 1999

   After loosing several key seniors, the 1999 girl's team was young, but sucessful.  The varsity team at the distrists race was made up of seniors Debbie Schor and Georgia Hart, juniors Meghan Gilroy and Shannon Ullstad, sophmores Cami Martin and Elizabeth Allen, and freshman Emily Allstot.

   Early in the season the girl's team traveled to Yreka, California for the Yreka Invitational.  The girls team took first place in the Yreka race.  At districts Corvallis High placed third, beat by Crescent Valley and West Albany.

 

2000

   The 2000 season saw the addition of many new freshmen, which made for one of the largest girl's teams in CHS cross-country history.  The 2000 varsity team was made up of senior Meghan Gilroy, juniors Danielle Korb and Cami Martin, sophmore Emily Allstot, and freshmen Caroline Bea, Malia Storie, and Johanna. 

   The team competed at Yreka again, as well as several other large invitationals.  After a close race, the team again finished third at districts, defeated by Crescent Valley and West Albany.
