Corvallis is proud beyond expression of her track team and of the
many beautiful
cups and trophies which she has to remember the 1923 track team,
the team that
made more points in a state meet than any other team has ever
done, according to
official records.
The track team was coached this year by Grant
"Doc" Swan, varsity distance man of OAC.
It was largely through his efforts that CHS was able to develop
her championship team.
