"Rute" Oschner, the little boy with the big stride; "Clint" Hogue, the man who flies on the stick; "Pete" Daily, one of the State Winners; Gilman Keasey, a new track star; "Clark" Buckley, he puts the shot far; "Jim" Buchanan, a champion half-miler; "Hank" Davis, the discus thrower; Floyd Lewis, another good half-miler; "Chuck" Goldsmith, a coming track star; Wayne Klein, he flies in broad jumping; "Romy" Adams, a coming spring star; "Jerry" Harris, the quarter-mile; "Bart" Harian, a sprinter with ability; Roy Richert, Mr. Bashful.

The track team completed a successful season under the leadership
of Captain "Clint" Hogue. The men did not get a good start until the last
of the season but it was in time to win the invitational meet at Forest
Grove and add another loving cup to our collection in the front hall. The
boys also took six points in the State Meet to tie with Bend for sixth place.

Much material with which to build a winning track team was found
and even though we are losing many of our best track men this year by
graduation, the prospects for a winning track team in 1928 are very bright. The
following are the scores of the Triangular meets:

CHS 62; Salem 67.5; Albany 6. (At Salem)
CHS 27.5; Rooks 123; Tillamook 5.5. (At CHS)
First at Forest Grove (8 schools entered)
Tied for sixth with Bend at State meet)
