With only five returning lettermen the prospects for
track this year did not look too bright, but by tossing
aside this handicap and putting in long hours of prac-
tice, the CHS cindermen held their own in the many
events they entered. Corvallis placed in the Willamette
Valley meet and the Hayward Relays at Eugene, and
have held time trials in preparation for the coming
district and state meets.
Herbert Hart, three-year letterman, was elected cap-
taian for the year.

...it's neck and neck, boys and girls; Taylor's
ahead - no, it's Young! Cocoa's coming up fast on the
inside- but what's this? An unknown dashing up from
behind to win the all-city 440 track title.

They're doing it three at a time now.

What's this, Hiller winning a race?

Schulein by a nose!!

It looks easy, doesn't it?
