Advanced Algebra/Honors Physics

• Prerequisites: Integrated Sci 1 and Alg/Geo 2 (grade A, B, or C) and Teacher Recommendation
• Credits: 2 Science, 2 Math, Career Development, Elective

This course is designed for the student who is ready for a faster paced, rich integration of Alg/Geo 3, College Algebra, (and possibly Physics). Besides topics from Alg/Geo 3 mentioned above, students will study conic sections, practice basic programming on the graphing calculator, and apply fundamental trigonometry. Math work samples at level 4 will be offered. Calculator required: Graphing.

Students study the most fundamental laws by which the universe operates and use these laws to understand everyday events. This course includes projects and laboratory activities involving forces, motion, energy, heat, electricity, sound, light, and atomic structure.
