African – American
Scholarship Listings – Come to CHS and get the list from the scholarship drawer. It is a great
starting point for African – American Students looking for scholarships. But don’t forget to look at this list too,
because there are three scholarships listed below which are
for African –American students- the Black United Fund of Oregon, the Ron Brown
Scholar Program and the Dr. Ethel Simon –McWilliams Scholarship.
Altrusa Latina Scholarship- $500 award to a graduating
female Latino student; funds awarded upon enrollment in college or vocational
training program. Details

Asian
Reporter Foundation – 4 $1000 scholarships for Oregon students attending OR schools of
higher education. 2 $500 scholarships

American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO)
Volunteer Recognition Scholarship- $300 award for a senior who has been involved in AYSO Region 149
for a minimum of 4 years (as a player and/or volunteer) within the last year
and exemplifies the mission and philosophies of AYSO. Must have volunteer experience
in Region 149. Senior must plan to attend community college,
vocational-tech school, or a 4 year college/university, which will lead to a
college degree or license. Short essay on the topic “What have you gained from

Benton County Master Gardener Association - Marie Madison Horticulture Scholarship – $750
Scholarship for a graduating senior who is a Benton County resident and plans
to attend a 2 yr or 4 yr college and major in botany/horticulture and/or plant

Scholarship - $2500 maximum for a senior who will be attending

Chinese
American Citizens Alliance Fred G. Lee Memorial Scholarship-
$1,000 scholarships, one renewable. Chinese Ancestry is not a requirement, but
applicant must have a parent or guardian who is a member of the C.A.C.A.

Corvallis
Education Association CEA and Memorial Scholarships- $600 to a CHS senior, $600
to a CVHS senior and $600 to a senior whose parent is a member of Corvallis
Education Association member (is a Corvallis teacher). Must use for study at
institution of higher learning – community college or college. Educator and
community (non-relative) recommendations required. Deadline: Received by April
30, 2010.
Credit Union Assoc. of Oregon
(CUAO)- Financial Literacy Committee and Louis M. Hartley Benefit Scholarship- For students that are
members of an Oregon credit union (Advantis, Benton County School, Central
Willamette, Northwest Community, On Point Community, Oregon Community, OSU
Federal, Red Canoe, SELCO Community) with their own account. Financial Literacy
committee will award two $500 scholarships to students with 3.0+gpa. Short essay, academic transcript required. For Hartley
scholarship ($500), student must have some degree of hearing impairment or are
becoming medically qualified to assist the hearing impaired. Short essay,
information of student/parent’s financial need required. Applications

Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum - $1000 scholarship for a senior interested in pursuing a career in aviation maintenance and will pursue an Associate of Applied Science Degree with an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate. Read details carefully. Deadline: Received by 3/31/10.
Loene P. Guthrie Scholarship (Oregon Music Teachers Association)- Up to $1000 scholarship. This scholarship is available to Linn, Benton and Lincoln county seniors who are music students intending to study music in college. This scholarship is designated for students who want to become music educators. Requires two letters of recommendation; if student is selected for next stage, an informal performance will be required on Saturday, April 3. Application deadline: March 20, 2010.

OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop Scholarship- $2400 merit scholarships

Oakville Youth Memorial Scholarship - For high school seniors living in the
Oakville parks and Recreation district or who are active in the Oakville
Presbyterian Church. Based

Oregon School Employee Assn-
John Brown Scholarship Chapter 2 (OSEA)- 2 scholarships $500 each to deserving

Oregon School Employee Association (OSEA)- John Brown(for children and

MacTarnahan Scholarship – Up to six $2000 scholarships to graduating seniors who can demonstrate

Grant Program- Up to ten grants ranging from $500 to $1,000. Students must show potential for service and

Janice Scott Memorial
Scholarship – Awards six $2500 scholarships to high school seniors
with a GPA of 2.5 or higher who will attend a 4 year accredited college or university

SELCO
Community Credit Union – There are thirteen $1500 scholarships.
Must be a senior with a GPA of 3.5, planning to attend a 4 year
