Host families needed

CHS will be hosting 24 Japanese students from Nichidai High School March 27-April 2. We would like to have at least 12 host families to host 2 students in each household. The students will arrive in Corvallis the afternoon of March 27 and depart the morning of April 2. The students will be attending school during the week.

The program with Nichidai students has been well-received in the past. This is a great opportunity to share our culture with students from Japan. Families interested in hosting or needing further information please contact Kathleen Muravez, CHS parent volunteer muravezk@casco.net or Linda Alderman in the main office.

Summer-Costa Rica

Ms. Kiekel and Mrs. Harlan are planning a trip for students to Costa Rica this summer. Students will go for their choice of either 2 or 3 weeks. All students will live with families (one student per family) and therefore will have LOTS of opportunities to put to use the Spanish they have learned in high school. We will also do some traveling and sight seeing daily and on the weekends. For more information please attend our informational meeting on Wednesday, November 5 at 7:00 PM in Room H20.

The Uzhgorod exchange program has been extended to November 14 and the price with some good fundraising will hopefully come in at around $1500. Applications are available in Beyond CHS
