Indicate that you have (HABEN) or need (BRAUCHEN) or are looking for (SUCHEN) the following items. Remember that you will be responding using the noun as a direct object. You will need to use the Accusative Case.
PRONOUNS IN THE ACCUSATIVE CASE
In the NOMINATIVE CASE (a sentence with only a subject and verb) we learned that ER takes the place of all DER NOUNS, SIE takes the place of all DIE NOUNS and ES takes the place of all DAS NOUNS. In the ACCUSATIVE CASE (a sentence which also includes a direct object) we learned that all DER NOUNS change to DEN. To replace all DEN NOUNS with a pronoun we use IHN. DAS NOUNS and DIE NOUNS are not affected.
