Dear Listlers,
A good place to find current information about what German teachers and
students are doing in terms of Holocaust Education is "Learning from History
/ Lernen aus der Geschichte," the bilingual website (soon also available in
Spanish and Polish) that documents in-school and out-of-school projects
involving young people: http://www.holocaust-education.de/e/ There are also
links from many homepages of Goethe-Institut Inter Nationes.
The website grew out of the CD-ROM and book of the same name, which is
available from the AATG materials center (Item # 4-6458).
In the "post your project" section, you are also invited to give information
about new projects that you and your students are doing; it's a good place
to find partners in Germany and elsewhere. In the Forum section, you will
find threaded discussions about Holocaust Education, from both teachers' and
students' points of views. Your comments--as well as those of your
students--would be most welcome there.
