I was born in the house my father built. Well, not really, but he still lives in it today. I'm originally from Pomona, California. I grew up in Pomona and graduated high school there. I have two older brothers and one younger sister. My mother's family was originally from Scotland/Ireland. My dad's family was from Mexico.
I earned a B.S. in statistics at Cal Poly, SLO. I moved to Corvallis in 1990. I graduated with a M.S. in statistics from OSU and worked for the USEPA. In 1996, I returned to OSU to obtain my teaching degree and MAT in advanced math. I have been with Corvallis High School since 1999 and currently teach the courses, Informal Geometry and Algebra with Statistics.
My family is the best part of my life and I try not to take a single day for granted.
