Travels

I went to our Sister City: Uzhgorod, Ukraine. I was there for one month with a host family in 1997, then got to host a student for 3 months.

There were 12 American students, and we each had a host sibling. On top left to right, then bottom left to right is: Claire and her sister Ira, My sister Lesya and I. Dan's brother Zoli, and Dan, then Ryan's brother Christian and Ryan.

Here we are at Nevitski castle, I wont go through names, but most of those are Ukrainian students, I'm on the top right.

This little cutie is Mishik (Michael) my little host brother, he is about 4 here, and was on his way to a costume party

Ok, thats it for my Ukraine Pictures, it was a fun experience. The next trip was to my Sister High School: Nichidai High School in Tokyo, Japan. This was last summer for 10 days, and was really great, I met the Tarrah there.

Here we are in Flower Arranging club, one of many after school clubs. The American students across the bottom are Ryan, Ben, Andi, and I.

Here is my host sister Haruka and I. I still don't understand chopsticks. Oh yeah, on the right there, in that Coke glass is something green called Melon Soda that I just love, but I haven't found it here in America.

Here I am in my Kimoto on the way to the farewell party. My host family let me keep it as a gift.

I recently applied for a Rotary exchange for the next school year, and on Wednesday morning, I was woken up with a congrautulating phone call because I was chosen. Next step is doctor stuff, and more things to fill out. I hope to go to Argentina to continue language studies, or Australlia because it would be cool.
