Three of these stories may be true. Decide for yourself.
In 1996, Mark Pfetzer at age 16 was attempting to become the youngest person to climb Mount Everest. He made it to Camp IV but was forced to turn around due to high winds and 11 people dying in other climbing teams. He was the youngest person to summit Ama Dablam and in May of 1999 was planning on trying Everest again, this time as the youngest person to lead an expidition to the summit. Now it's November and no one in this company knows what happened to him! If anyone has any idea, email us at: TheLivingEnd17@hotmail.com
Now the text is getting harder to read because we're getting farther into Everest (do you know which one is Everest? Guess) so I'm going to change the color. Close your eyes. OK I don't think this one is much better. If your eyes hurt from trying to read this, well hahahaha. Just kidding. Anyway, ice blue is good for telling Everest (goddess mother of the earth) stories. So the next person in the file is Stacy Allison, who !!!!!! is from Corvallis (which is a little town in a rainy state) and was the first American woman to climb Everest. By the way, the first American man was Jim Whittaker, in 1963 and I went to a talk by him a few days ago. Well probably not a few days ago by the time you read this. So she is a very cool person and is a motivational speaker and you should worship her.
David Breashears is a kick ass filmmaker who had something to do with Seven Years in Tibet, Red Flag Over Tibet, and Cliffhanger. If I'm wrong about this, don't quote me. But his best movies are the ones he dirtected WHILE CLIMBING EVEREST!!! The Nova Special on Everest and The IMAX movie Everest, which they had to lug a 40? pound camera all the way up 29,028 vertical feet of snow and ice to film. He's not only getting paid to have fun making movies (well I think movie making is fun), but also to make them about one of his favorite things-mountain climbing. That's awesome and it's exactly what I'm going to do.
The last story: I climbed Everest when I was 32 and didn't die or fall off! But I did "accidentaly" push one of my team members into a crevasse while he was going across a ladder in the icefall. The movie of this climb, probably the best one ever, because it isn't just a documentary, it's a story that just happened to be filmed on the highest mountain in the world, is NOT FOR SALE!!! We're not sellouts. We climb for fun, not just to make something about high adventure to try to get some cash. In fact, we live on the street in a schoolbus so haha.
