Vacation Island

In this picture, my family and I are at the Four Corners landmark. This is were you can stand in one place and be in four different states. These states are: Arizona, Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. My brother, Danny, is on the left, my dad, Dennis, is on the right, and I am in the middle.

In the background of this picture there is the mountain called Mt. Rundule. My brother, David, is on the left, my mother, Laurie, is on the right, my father, Dennis, is in the middle, and I am on the top.

This is the Grand Canyon. It's depth is slightly more than 5,700 feet. The Colorado River is at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and has an elevation of about 2,200 feet. If you were to hike down to the Colorado River from the top of the Grand Canyon, it would probably take you a day just to get down there. And if a person were to do that, then they would be attempting dehydration and hypothermia. Even on a mule, it takes 2 days to get there and back. Another reason why you probably shouldn't be walking down there is that the rocks in the walls of the Grand Canyon are about 250 million years old. If that doesn't change your mind, I don't know what will.

My family and I are really close. I think it's because of all of the trips that we go on together. That really helps us work through our difference and just have fun as a family. This probably sounds really cheesy but, I LOVE MY FAMILY!!
