PIV allows parents to view students’ current classes & grades and attendance. 

Parents can sign up to receive periodic automatic email notification regarding grades and attendance.  You set your own parameters.  Each user may enter their own email address from the system.  When using this system, please enter your first and last name.  This is the only way we have to identify the owner of an email address.

If you use the automated unexcused absence email notification option, please understand that students who are tardy may initially be marked absent, which will generate an email notification.  Also, due to timing issues, your phoned in excuse to the attendance office may not be entered in the system prior to the start of class, also generating an email notification.  You may check Pinnacle attendance at the end of the day to verify your student's absence.  Thank you.  Due to errors in the processing of attendance data, the attendance feature has been temporarily disabled.  Excelsior Software is working with Linn-Benton-Lincoln ESD to resolve this issue.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Student & parent passwords have been randomly generated. 

Students and parents have different passwords assigned.  However, parents & students have access to identical information. 

PIV does not allow users to set their own passwords.

We will continue to provide information regarding Pinnacle through the CV homepage, the newsletter, and if necessary, through List Serve.

Why doesn't CV still use WebGrade?  The Linn-Benton-Lincoln ESD provides our student information system. In the past LBLESD did not provide a parent portal, so CV used WebGrade to allow students & parents access to grade information.  As part of a system upgrade, LBLESD now provides Pinnacle Internet Viewer (PIV).
