Final Report – Long-Term Project

Biology

Now that you have completed your data collection and analysis, it is time to summarize the work you did on your long-term project this year.  Working individually, type up a report of your work using the format below.  (You may need to consult with the other members of your group if you were not in this section of biology during 1st semester.)  When you are done, e-mail your work to dan.bregar@corvallis.k12.or.us with the subject heading “per X your name Final Report”.

1.   Question

In 2-3 sentences, describe the overall goal of your project.  What was the question you were trying to answer?  Add supporting details to clarify the purpose of your study.  If your question changed over the course of your project, you should only talk about the latest (and most accurate) question you used.

2.   Methods

In a step-by-step list, describe the methods you used to set up your project and collect data.  Most of you have modified your methods from the original proposal you turned in last semester; this section of your final report should ONLY include the real steps you took in completing your project.  (In other words, this section should be revised to reflect any changes you made to your methods.)

3.   Data and Graphs

Copy and paste at least two data tables and two graphs from your Excel spreadsheet into your final report.  Make sure the tables and graphs are formatted attractively and fit well on the page.

4.   Analysis

Rewrite your responses to Monday’s “Analysis” assignment in paragraph format.  Make sure your answers to each question are complete, thoughtful, detailed, and thorough.  When you are done, this section of your final report should be 2 – 3 paragraphs long.
