Cell Model and Poster

Assignment: You will create a thematic cell model and poster depicting either a plant or an animal cell. The poster should explain each structure in your model and how that structure is analogous to a cellular structure. The completed model and poster should be self-explanatory – no additional information should be needed to explain how your model is analogous to a cell.

Grading: Your peers and your instructor will evaluate your model; the scores will be combined for an overall score.

The Model (10 points):

- includes all cellular structures on the “Cell Model Ideas” assignment

- all analogies are appropriate to the theme

- is neatly and carefully made

- is a creative product (i.e., it is not something that was purchased)

The Poster (10 points):

- correctly explains all the structural analogies

- is neatly and carefully made

- includes both partner’s names

- indicates clearly which model it refers to
