Colleges and universities aren't just looking for a great GPA, high test scores and a brilliant essay. On your application, what you do day to day tells a lot about who you are. Your list of extracurricular activities lets the admissions officers at your list of schools see a number of things, like:

1. You have a wide range of interests and abilities

2. You are not afraid to be a leader in your community and among your friends

3. You will make contributions to the campus life at their school

4. You might not have gotten straight A's, but here's all that you got involved in while the brains were hitting the books

It's not too late to make sure your list of activities is as full as you are interesting. Find out what clubs and activities are looking for members at your school. Start going to meetings and getting involved with the next major event or project.
