Taking Care --
an Introduction

Have you ever really thought about the phrase
"take care of yourself"? I mean, people use it all the
time, "See ya, take care!" Parents love to tell you to
"take care" or, "be careful" and letters
often end with "Take care, Love," I suppose it's
all a bit touchy-feely, but I do believe that taking care of
ourselves is one of the most important tasks we have every day.
As human being there are things that are healthy and good for us
all. At the same time, no two people are cared for in the same
way. We all have our own likes and dislikes and need to be
mindful of them. This is how we take care of ourselves. There is
no certain time when we should start taking care of ourselves.
Taking care is not a strictly adult thing to do. We all take
care of ourselves from a very early age.
I would like to talk about all the ways we can take care of
ourselves. It seems like a good way to think about health and
wellness, which is the focus of this section. I would love to
hear from you about your thoughts of taking care of yourself;
what are the things you do, or wish you could do, or maybe there
is something you wish you could stop doing? So, stay tuned
for more thoughts on this matter and, until then, take care.
