College Now is a program that provides high school students an opportunity to earn college credit by completing comparable college-level course work on-site at Crescent Valley High School. By participating in College Now courses, students get a head start on tackling college-level work and making college and career decisions. The courses are taught by Crescent Valley High School faculty who are approved to teach college level courses.  Students can transfer College Now credits to OUS (Oregon University System schools) and to some private and out-of-state public institutions by completing the regular transcript request procedures at Linn-Benton Community College.  For an application click here (requires Acrobat).

 Classes at CVHS that currently offer College Now LBCC college credit are: (see list below for qualified CVHS staff members)

HOW IT WORKS:

1.    Students complete the College Now Participation Form, provided by the teacher when they take an approved college level course at CVHS, and a pay a one-time processing fee of $25 (check made
payable to "LBCC").  The College Now Participation Form and fee only need to be completed and
paid ONCE and applies to all College Now courses taken at CVHS.  Students turn in the form and
check to their teacher or to the Career Center.

2.   The form and fee are forwarded to LBCC by CVHS staff.  LBCC then establishes a student transcript account.

3.   High School teachers then register students for each College Now course taken.  CVHS staff
transmits this information to LBCC.

4.   At the end of the course, teacher submits grades to LBCC.

5.   Students can access their LBCC transcripts (record of completed coursework) at
http://sis.linnbenton.edu and should do this periodically to verify credits received.
