Fundraising for the CV Baseball ProgramFundraising plays an important part in making the CV Baseball Program successful. Players, coaches, parents, and many other people generously contribute their time, effort, and money to help the CV Baseball Program be the best it can be. Please join us! A huge, special fundraising effort last year enabled the CV Baseball Program to build a new indoor practice facility behind left field at Tim Wirth Memorial Field. This is the second largest high school indoor practice facility in Oregon, and is in constant use not just by the CV Baseball program, but also by the CV Softball Program, and other CV and community programs.
In addition to such special, project-driven fundraising efforts, members of the CV Baseball Program also participate actively in other fundraising programs throughout the year, including:
CV players also raise money for the program in other ways. For example, this year many of the players put in a full day's work splitting, loading, and delivering firewood, thereby raising more than $2,000 for the CV Baseball program.
Players also went door-to-door selling subscriptions to ESPN Magazine to raise additional money for the program. The CV Baseball Program also raises money from sales during the Spring and Summer baseball seasons of food, drinks, and CV Baseball apparel at the Snack Shack -- the concession stand at Tim Wirth Memorial Field. The CV Baseball Program also raises money by selling miscellaneous gear, such as CV Raider hitch covers.
Please join us in supporting the CV Baseball Program. Help us sell signboards to local businesses (or buy one yourself). Volunteer to help with the summer golf tournament (or sign up yourself and your friends to play). Get involved in some of the other fundraising efforts described above. Or just come out to enjoy a CV baseball game this Spring or Summer and patronize the CV Snack Shack! GO RAIDERS!
