Each member of Congress has a home page on the World Wide Web. Find the
Web site for your congressperson* at http://www.house.gov
or http://www.senate.gov.
Choose a member of Congress from your state, and review any information about
that person. Write a report that includes basic biographical information (age,
home town, education, family, etc.), your congressperson's stand on at least one
important issue, and information about how constituents (people they represent)
can contact the senator or representative if they have concerns.
*To find your representative you must know your zip code + 4 number. To
find this visit this web site. http://www.usps.gov/ncsc/lookups/lookup_zip+4.html
and follow the directions. Then using your information you may find your
representative at this site. http://www.house.gov/zip/ZIP2Rep.html.
You can find your senator by going directly to the senate site listed
above.
