Alternative Education
Alternative Education courses provide students with a choice of self-paced, individualized courses in a variety of academic and elective areas; as well as Service Learning opportunities and Alternative Career Related Learning opportunities for Certificate of Advanced Mastery (CAM) completion. All curricula are developed to offer alternative learning opportunities in an effort to meet the needs of students for whom the regular educational program is unsatisfactory. The curriculum is individualized; flexible and responsive to planned progress and change in an effort to support the diverse needs of all learners.
Math Lab
The Math Lab is an individualized non-college preparatory mathematics course designed to help students make progress towards completing the CIM. It can also be a place for students to prepare for the next course in a sequence or to remediate math concepts not mastered. Students will use the computer program PLATO, workbook, texts, and work samples focusing around the CIM benchmarks.
