K-5 Health Kits
HUMAN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
This health kit was developed by 509J teachers. This kit was reviewed in spring of 2008 to align with Oregon statutes and district policy. This health kit is designed to give students age-appropriate information about puberty, anatomy, pregnancy, and disease prevention. There are two communication lessons about resolving conflicts (also included in the Alcohol-Drug Prevention Kit). The kit includes parent preview information. The district currently has 2 copies of the kit so coordination between schools for scheduling is important. Additional materials in the kit are: 3-D anatomy models, posters, overheads, and a video.
