What is Service-Learning?
Service-Learning is a teaching method/instructional strategy by which students learn and develop through active participation in thoughtfully organized service experiences that meet actual community needs. Service-learning is integrating into the student's academic curriculum and provides structured time for a student to think, talk, or write about the service, the learning, personal growth, and new understanding. Service-learning is extending the course curriculum into the community.
