Upcoming TAG Info Night -- Parenting Your Gifted Child
The Corvallis School District and TAG Parent Advisory Committee are
pleased to present the next in a series of TAG Parent Information
nights. This time, we will discuss Parenting Your Gifted Child, in a workshop format. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, from 7:00-8:30pm, and it will take place in the Western View Center Library,
which is located near the School District Offices.
This meeting is intended for parents and guardians of TAG children.
If you plan to attend this meeting, please let us know, by sending a quick email to <tagrsvp@gmail.com>. Also, please note that childcare will not be provided at this event.
NAGC Annual Toy List 2007
Althought the holidays are over, the gift ideas in thislist are good all year. Each year the National Association for Gifted Children publishes a list of toys and games that are particularly well suited for TAG kids. You can find the toy list here. It's part of the NAGC website.
509J TAG Info Night Handouts Available On-Line
Did you miss out on getting copy of the handouts from 509J TAG Info Night, held November 13? You can get a copy of them here!
TAG-FAMILIES Listserv is Up and Running!
509J has a new listserv dedicated to TAG issues! This new listserv replaces the old TAG mailing list. If you were on the old TAG mailing list, you should have received an email with instructions on how to subscribe to the new listserv. If not, then you can subscribe to the new TAG-FAMILIES listserv by clicking here.
We have replaced the old mailing list with the listserv because it had grown too large to be managed effectively. As well, the new listserv will better serve you because it will allow you to subscribe and unsubscribe at any time, and allow you to choose how you would like to receive your mail.
The old mailing list will no longer be used--if you do not subscribe to the TAG-FAMILIES listserv, you will no longer receive any mailings from us! Subscribing is easy--just click here.
TAG Population Numbers for 509J
Did you know that 25% of the students in Corvallis 509J are TAG? And that the number rises to 46% when students in the TAG pool are included too? Did you know that there is a school in Corvallis where 63% of the student body is either TAG or in the TAG pool?
