- Produce quality documents addressing layout, design and audience
- Present information in a variety of ways (informal sharing, simple
reports-written and word processed, experiments, models, murals, dioramas,
journals, multimedia)
- Develop and report information in more than one form (e.g., written report
with visual graphics or oral report with hand-out)
- When appropriate, share findings/results outside of school community, e.g.
interviewees, neighborhood groups
- Write research reports about ideas, issues, or events by using the
following guidelines (ODE 5th grade standard requirement)
- Frame questions that direct the investigation
- Establish a main idea or topic
- Use a variety of information sources, including firsthand interviews,
reference materials, and electronic resources to locate information to support
the topic
- Cite references appropriately
