Alcohol-Drug Prevention

The lessons in this kit are from the Lifeskills curriculum developed by Benton County. The idea for this kit is to promote future responsible behavior in regards to smoking, marijuana, alcohol, and other drugs. This kit is aligned with Oregon statutes and district policy. The 5 lessons are organized around the concept of myth vs. reality and also an in-depth examination of advertising. There are two communication lessons about resolving conflicts (also included in the Human Growth and Development Kit). Additional kit materials are: a teacher notebook, CD, overhead transparencies, a set of true-false cards, and straws.
