February 25, 6-7 pm: Special Presentation "Accessibility Services"

This meeting will feature guest speaker Carol Raymundo, Manager of LBCC’s Center for Accessibility Resources and Student Assessment and staff from the center.  As students approach high school and beyond high school it is very important to understand the difference between accommodations and modifications and the impact of those choices. Whether college is around the corner or many years away, understanding the possible options, and looking at different accommodations and when they might make sense for your student can be very positive for their educational experience.

This presentation will look at both college and training programs in general.  While they will provide specifics to LBCC, they will also share information that is applicable to all institutions.

The presentation will include:

·         What accommodations students might use and why

·         The role and purpose of accommodations

·         How accommodations are accessed at the post-secondary level

·         The process and the supporting documentation required

·         The student’s role in accessing accommodations

No registration required. Please join us!
