Second graders throughout the district are learning how much fun math can be -- especially when they get to share their skills by playing games with their parents! Each year, retired teacher Gail Gerdemann takes a traveling “math show” to elementary schools where second graders spend the afternoon playing a variety of math games with their teachers and parent volunteers. This group of students at Adams Elementary used regular playing cards recently to play a special Tic-Tac-Toe game and practice their addition at the same time.
