OSU Physics Partners

Third and fourth grade students in Sage Randklev’s class at Wilson Elementary School recently worked side by side with several Oregon State University students to experiment with temperature probes and graphing software. The OSU education majors shared how to “measure” the impact of mixing together various amounts of cold and hot water using probes hooked up to Netbooks. The result was a computer-generated graph of the temperature changes. Both groups of students seemed to enjoy both the science experiment and the experience of learning from one another.
