Sparky the Eagle

Copies of “Sparky’s Story” are still available for purchase at Mountain View Elementary School! The one-of-a-kind book, produced by Lori Tubbs’ third grade class last spring, tells the story of the school’s mascot, a bald eagle that lives at the Chintimini Wildlife Center. Since the class secured a grant to cover their publishing costs, all the proceeds from the book go to help pay for the long-term care of the eagle, one of many birds the center uses to educate the public about animals who live in our area’s natural habitats. The books sell for $10 and can be purchased in the school office.
