Accelerated Reader Program
Accelerated Reader Program Needs Volunteers
Are you trying to encourage
reading at home? Do you know about the accelerated reader program?
Accelerated reader is a
program used at Franklin that encourages and rewards kids for reading
books. Kids read books and then take a short accelerated reader test on the
book in the Franklin media center. Kids earn points for the books they read
and the tests that they take.
Helping out with
Accelerated Reader is easy to do. Each elementary class will have a
scheduled time to go to the media room and take tests on the computer each
week. We could use more adult volunteers to assist kids in the media
center. This is an easy way to volunteer and to get to know the kids and the
books that they are reading.

more information or to volunteer.
Happy Reading!
