Art at Jefferson

Artist-in-Residence
Claudia Hall is our Art teacher again for the 2007-2008 school year.  Each first-fifth grade classroom has art once a week for forty-five minutes and each kindergarten classroom has art once a week for thirty minutes. Claudia brings her specialized instruction to us, and some classroom teachers do additional art projects in their own classrooms.

Gallery Exhibits
Jefferson students have an entire art room/studio in which to work on their art skills and where many of their art pieces are displayed. Additionally, student art work has been exhibited at Papa’s Pizza, Sam’s Station, the Jefferson Art/Science Night, and other school and community events. If you have a local business that would welcome student artwork for display, please contact Claudia Hall at 757-5951.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are welcome to participate in student art projects while helping in the art studio. Please contact Claudia Hall or your child’s classroom teacher at 757-5951 for more information.
