Middle School Grading Policy In Middle School, students receive letter grades. We grade on a straight point basis. 90-100% is an A, 80-89% is a B, 70-79% is a C, 60-69% is a D and anything below 60% is a F. The school district is working on implementing an online grading program which will enable parents and students to check work. We will let you know as soon as it is active. Missing work due to absence Students will be given one day for each day missed to make up in-lass and homework assignments when they have been absent. It is the responsibility of the student to find out what work was missed. Missing work not due to absence Late assignments will be accepted throughout the term up to one week past the due date. There may be some exceptions, such as spelling homework, which is always due by Friday of the week it is assigned. Each late assignment will be docked 20% unless it is handed in within the one week period with a late slip attached. No points are docked for an assignment turned in with a late slip. Late slips are non-transferrable and are issued every term. Students receive two late slips each term for science, math, and literacy, and one late slip for writing and social studies. |
