After School Acting Academy
at Crescent Valley Auditorium

Starting March 31st through June 3rd
3:30-5:30pm
  $150 for 10 week terms*

Veteran theatre instructor and youth theatre director Amaya Egusquiza is offering acting clubs in three age groups for acting students of all experience levels. Novel challenges each term will help students to achieve their potential in the basic skills needed for success as a theatrical performer. A fun and rewarding way for students to explore their talents and to create new avenues of expression.

 

- Ages 3-6 (Non-Readers) Tuesdays 10:30am-12:00pm March 30-June 1

Improvisation and art are the focus for this fun club for all levels of acting and performance experience.  Gentle instruction in theatre arts for the youngest actors and other curious minds make this unique, ongoing experience a real treat.  Games are a large focus of the each day to ensure students are having fun and learning basic skills in acting and etiquette each week. New experiences each term culminate in final performances on the last day of each term.  Club sessions take place on the Main Stage at Crescent Valley High School
No bus transportation available for this age group.
 $150 for 10 week terms

- Ages 7-10 or Grades 1st - 5th Wednesdays 3:30 – 5:30pm March 31- June 2

Auditioning, rehearsal, and performance of short scripted works for the stage provide new challenges for all levels each term.  New students learn the basics of acting such as enunciation, volume, and movement, for the stage while intermediate and advanced students focus on refining skills such as creating character and emotional expression.  All levels will participate in acting games and activities related to theatre performance and the arts of theater production.  Club sessions take place on the Main Stage at Crescent Valley High School. * Club continues on April 14th; no-school conference day.

- Ages 11-14 or Grades 6th – 8th Thursdays 3:15 – 5:30pm  April 1st - June 3rd

Students of all levels are encouraged to participate in this fun club for students in middle grades.  Students will explore new genres of theatre through rehearsal of scenes and short scripted works, and various acting theories will be experienced each term.  Games that encourage a sense of “play” will be a main focus of each session.  All terms will culminate in final performances on the last day of each term.  Club sessions take place on the Main Stage at Crescent Valley High School. * Club continues on April 15th; no-school conference day.
