Are you new to Wilson? Welcome! PTA funded Wilson Connections would like to make your transition to Wilson as easy as possible. If you are interested in meeting other Wilson families who are already familiar with the school, please send your name and contact information to WilsonPTA@yahoo.com In the fall, we will connect you with another Wilson family to help familiarize you with the school and provide you with information. We look forward to you being part of the Wilson community.
The Wilson PTA serves Wilson School by organizing and funding many school functions. Several of these functions are fund-raisers, and the PTA uses these funds to supplement the school's budget and sponsor enrichment activities. Some of our most popular activities include the Artist-in-Residence and Assemblies programs. These programs, along with many others, add much to the educational experiences of Wilson students and families. Fundraising activities to support these programs include the annual Fun Run and the Scrip Program. In the 2008 - 2009 school year, the PTA provided approximately $22,800 in funds and equipment to the school. Participating in the PTA is a wonderful way to stay connected with the school and its staff, help decide how funds are spent, and be a part of many of the fun events during the year.
PTA meetings are held generally on the second Tuesday of each month in the Library from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Everyone is invited to attend, but participation in voting decisions requires PTA membership. Got a question? Email us! WilsonPTA@yahoo.com
