Superintendent Ryan Noss

Mr. Ryan Noss became superintendent of the Corvallis School District on July 1, 2016.

Currently working on his doctoral degree in educational leadership, Mr. Noss received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from Southern Oregon University.

Prior to his appointment as superintendent, he served as the district’s Director of Teaching and Learning during the 2015-16 school year. Mr. Noss began his career in education in 1999 as a Special Education teacher in the Tigard-Tualatin school district where he taught for two years. He then taught three more years for the Lebanon Community Schools before working as Special Programs Consultant. He served for one year before accepting the position of Principal at the K-8 Pioneer School working in that capacity for four years. In 2009, he accepted the position of Administrator of Program and Student Support. These duties included: overseeing curriculum, instruction, assessment and special education for the district. He was promoted to Assistant Superintendent in 2011 and served in that role for four years before coming to the Corvallis School District.

Mr. Noss enjoys exercise and the outdoors. He and his wife, Windy, have lived in Corvallis since 2002 and have two children attending school in the district. He can be found many weekends and evenings near a field or court watching his kids participate in youth sports.

He is currently a member of the confederation of Oregon School Administrators and an Oregon Association of Central Office Administrators Executive Committee Representative. He has given over 20 state and national presentations and has also taught courses at Lewis and Clark College and Portland State University.

Assistant Superintendent Kevin Bogatin

Mr. Kevin Bogatin joined our district as Assistant Superintendent on July 1, 2010.

Mr. Bogatin graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and received a Master’s degree in education administration from the University of Phoenix in 2000. He completed the continuing administrative licensure program at the University of Oregon in 2009.

Before joining the Corvallis School District, Mr. Bogatin served in the Lebanon, Oregon School District as principal of Green Acres Elementary School for six years, and as associate principal at Lebanon High School for one year. Previously, he was the principal of a private K-8 school in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and has five years teaching experience at elementary schools in Chandler, Arizona and Beaverton, Oregon.

He currently serves as the school district liaison to the Willamette Criminal Justice Council, the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis, and Leadership Corvallis. He also serves as the district’s key contact with the Oregon Department of Education. Away from the office, Kevin enjoys golfing, camping, and attending his children’s sports and music events. He has also officiated at high school and college basketball games for over twenty years. He and his wife, Cameo, have two children.
