2017 Budget Committee

The Budget Committee has 14 members: seven elected school board members and seven citizens appointed to three-year terms by the board. Citizen members are appointed by open vote of the School Board as openings occur. The Committee met in the Spring of 2017 to review the Superintendent's Proposed Budget for 2017-18.

Informational Meeting: Wednesday, April 5, 2017, 6:30 pm

Informational meeting intended for new committee members. Agenda items include: an overview of the budget process, the roles and responsibilities of budget committee members, an orientation on the budget document and format, and other general introductory and non-specific topics.

Committee Meeting: Monday, May 1, 2017, 6:30 pm

First official Budget Committee meeting. Officers will be elected, the committee will receive the budget message, listen to public testimony, ask clarifying questions, and discuss the proposed budget.

Committee Meeting: Monday, May 15, 2017, 6:30 pm

Committee will receive follow up to questions from the first meeting, listen to public testimony, and deliberate. If time permits, the committee may approve the budget, tax rate, and tax amount.
