Local Community Invited to Commemorate Legacy of Letitia Carson and Cheldelin Schools

As the Corvallis School District prepares for upcoming school consolidations, the community is invited to gather for two special “Open House” events to honor the history, memories, and impact of Letitia Carson Elementary and Cheldelin Middle School.
These events offer a space for students, alumni, staff, and neighbors to walk the halls one last time and celebrate the lasting legacies of these schools.
Letitia Carson Elementary
- When: Thursday, May 21, 2026, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

“We look forward to welcoming former students, staff, and families back to our building,” said Letitia Carson principal Amy Sampson. “I look forward to sharing memories and celebrating how much our Wildcat family has grown over the years. We invite everyone to come celebrate with us. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!”
Cheldelin Middle School

“We can’t wait to have everyone back at Cheldelin,” said Principal Stephanne Seals. “Whether you have a favorite story to share or just want to look through the old photos and memorabilia, please come by. It’s the people who make this school special, and we want to celebrate that history with you.”
Both events are open to the public. No RSVP is required.
