Girls' Empowerment, Engineering, and Outreach Student Club at Oregon State University

Want to explore science in your own kitchen? Kitchen Chemistry Camp is a virtual STEM camp held through Zoom for girls in grades K-12. Members of GEEO will be teaching three activities: How Soap Works, Chromatography, and Holding Charge, and students will have the opportunity to do hands-on activities. GEEO will be distributing material for the activities April 17th, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the OSU SEC plaza. The event will take place April 17th, 2:00 -4:00 pm PST. Kitchen Chemistry Camp is hosted by Girls' Empowerment, Engineering, and Outreach (GEEO) Student Club at Oregon State University. This event will be held through Zoom on April 17th, 2:00-4:00 pm PST. Hello World is a two-week online summer camp for motivated middle school girls to learn to code their own websites. In this camp, we will introduce students to the heart of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Free Online Web Development Program for Middle Schoolers!

Form and Function is a free weekly after school program dedicated to making real code accessible to middle schoolers. Each week the students will do projects, get 1:1 help, and interact with demos as they gain an understanding of programming. Participants will code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Reading Club

The Corvallis Knights Reading Club is an incentive-based reading program for students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. During April and May, we ask students to complete a 20-hour reading goal and if they achieve this goal they receive 2 free GA tickets to a Knights game this summer!
