Upcoming Events

OSU Kokua (help) Maui: Hui O Hawai'i, Oregon State University

We hope that the school district’s students/families, and staff who may not be able to contribute significant amounts of money can do wonders by donating a package of diapers, feminine products, a toy or gift card. Especially as Christmas approaches toys for the keiki/children would be appreciated.

OSU students and members of the greater OSU community have family and friends from Maui/Hawai' who have been directly and/ or indirectly impacted significantly by the wildfires. The need for support for Maui will continue for a long time.

Organizer: OSU Kokua (help) Maui: Hui O Hawai'i, Oregon State University We are the organization that puts on our Annual Ho'ike and Lu'au that last year about 20 keiki/children from this school district participated in dance and learned about Hawaiian culture. They were largely multiracial keiki and many have Hawai'i roots. As my children grew up here where schools were primarily white institutions it was important for me that they had experience being taught by and being among college students who were similar to them. Hopefully, helped them to think about attending college.
