Boundary Review Task Force to be Appointed

Parents and guardians are invited to apply to become a member of the Boundary Review Task Force. This committee will meet nearly weekly from early December until February 2020. The task force will be made up of building principals and up to 20 parent and guardian representatives from all neighborhood boundary areas.

The task force assessment and analysis will:

  • Review, question and discuss one or more draft (“Springboard”) boundary adjustment scenarios prepared by district staff and consultants to identify implementation/policy issues, major flaws, unforeseen consequences and implications for the 2018 bond program.
  • Review and consider community input from open house events. Open house events will take place in January and February.
  • Come to a consensus as a Task Force on a preferred boundary adjustment scenario.

All meetings will be open to the public to observe. Written input from the public may be submitted to the task force. The task force will complete their work by April 2020.

Applications are available on the district website or a paper copy is available in all school offices. The deadline to apply is November 8, 2019.

Please contact the Assistant Superintendent’s office at 541-766-4700 if you have questions about the process.
