Kevin Bogatin Accepts Superintendent Position in North Bend

Kevin Bogatin has been hired as North Bend School District’s new superintendent. He will be leaving the Corvallis School District after serving nine years as Assistant Superintendent. He will officially begin his new role on July 1, 2019. Details about the search to fill the vacancy for assistant superintendent will be announced soon.

During his tenure, Mr. Bogatin has led the district in several key areas. He has been deeply involved with the district’s equity transformation work and will carry that work forward into his new role in North Bend. He led a task force that resulted in school-wide dual language programs at Garfield and Lincoln. He was a champion of the integration of instructional technology and he served as the district’s primary liaison with the Oregon Department of Education.

As Assistant Superintendent, he provided support in the development of effective leadership and supervision in our schools. He also was responsible for the adoption and implementation of the district’s Standard Response Protocols for safety. For the last two years, sustainability has emerged as an area of focus for staff and community stakeholders. He was charged to facilitate a process to establish the path forward for the district in the area of sustainability and his work will result in a Sustainability Management Plan that is expected to be completed later this spring.

We wish Kevin great success as the superintendent in North Bend.
