Multi-Year Strategic Planning Process Begins

The Corvallis School District is in the process of developing a Multi-Year Strategic Financial Plan and invites community engagement through an online survey and two community listening sessions.

The Multi-Year Strategic Financial Plan represents a comprehensive academic and financial planning approach that holds student achievement as its core objective, while also helping the district to be financially sustainable. The objectives of the plan are to:

  • Identify the district’s instructional priorities
  • Estimate the costs of these priorities
  • Describe the actions needed to realign the budget to fund those priorities

An online survey will be available from October 30 through November 20, 2018. It is available at the links below.

Superintendent Ryan Noss and Finance and Operations Director Olivia Meyers Buch will host Community Listening and Learning sessions November 5, 2018 at 6:30 pm at Linus Pauling Middle School in the Library and November 13, 2018 at 6:30 pm at Lincoln Elementary School in the Library. Participants will learn about the plan and will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the process, instructional priorities and investments.

The Multi-Year Strategic Financial Plan does not replace the annual budget but serves as the starting point for the annual budgeting process each year. The plan will be updated each year with consideration of student enrollment, revenue and program effectiveness. The plan is intended to include significant input from a broad base of stakeholders.
