New Technology Services Director Announced

Drew Hinds has been hired as the new Technology Services Director for the Corvallis School District effective November 15. He will fill the vacancy left by Gil Anspacher, who has served in this role since 2018 and is leaving the position for other pursuits.

Mr. Hinds most recently worked for the Huntington Beach City School District serving as the Executive Director of Technology Services for the last year. Prior to that, he worked as the Technology Director and High School CTE Instructor for the Silver Falls School District for the last 4 years.

His experience includes establishing and implementing district technology vision, and strategic and long-range plans. He has experience in developing and leading technology teams, coordinating the work of professional learning communities, and training and data reporting. He also led the Oregon Virtual Academy for two years and was responsible for all aspects of school leadership including reporting to a school board and ensuring stakeholder engagement.

He holds a Master of Science Degree in Multicultural Education and Information Technology from Western Oregon University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from Portland State University.
